Chinese-Vietnamese border gates to extend hours

Authorities of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have recently announced the extension of working hours at the Youyi Guan and Dongxing border gates, counterparts of Vietnam’s Huu Nghi and Mong Cai gates, respectively, from July 1.
Authorities of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have recentlyannounced the extension of working hours at the Youyi Guan and Dongxingborder gates, counterparts of Vietnam’s Huu Nghi and Mong Cai gates,respectively, from July 1.

Accordingly, entry and exit timesat the Youyi Guan will span from 8:00 am to 21:00 pm every day, one hourlater than the current 20:00 pm, while that for import and exportactivities will be extended by one hour and a half, from 8:00 am to19:00 pm instead of the previous 17:30 pm (Beijing time).

Meanwhile, Dongxing border gate will open for immigration activitiesfrom 8:00 am to 21:00 pm, one hour later than the current closing timeof 20:00 pm, while import and export times will remain unchanged,continuing from 8:00 am to 20:00 pm.

The extension of operational times aims to facilitate cross-border travel and trade between the two countries.

Currently, Guangxi has 12 border gates connecting the province with Vietnam.-VNA

Nearly 9,000 blood units collected at red spring festival

First launched in 2008 to address post-Tet blood shortages, the festival expanded nationwide in 2010 under the direction of the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign. Over 17 editions, the festival has attracted hundreds of thousands of donors across the nation, with the Hanoi event – hosted by the institute – collecting nearly 120,000 blood units.

The New Year meeting, which was first held in 2016, and the Joint Working Committee’s meeting, initiated from 2008, have proved efficiency, leading to significant common understandings regarding exchanges and cooperation among the parties.

Homeland Spring held for OVs in Bangladesh
