Khiet, who is also Secretary of the Party Central Committee, said sheis delighted at the sustainable development of the Church, and highlyvalued its contributions to encouraging followers to participate innational construction and defence.

She expressed herhope that the Church will continue working together with localauthorities to take care of the material and spiritual lives of itsfollowers.

Pastor Nguyen Huu Mac stated that theParty and State’s policies have helped followers keep their mind inreligious activities, and develop production to improve their livingstandards.

He briefed Khiet on main activities ofthe Church in the past time, including the successful organisation ofthe 34th General Assembly of General Confederation of Evangelical Churchof Vietnam (North) and the establishment of the Hanoi Divinity andBible school.

At the Archdiocese of Hanoi, Khietcongratulated the Vietnam Episcopal Council on successfully holdingits regular congress. She affirmed that the country’s gainedachievements have positive contribution of the Catholic people.

Archbishop Nguyen Van Nhon said that he hopes authorities willcontinue paying attention to and creating favourable conditions for allCatholic people in religious activities.

On the same day, adelegation of the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands regionand representatives from the Religious Department of the CentralHighlands province of Gia Lai visited and presented gifts to Catholicpeople in the locality on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas.

Alsoon the occasion, leaders from southern Dong Nai province’s authoritiesvisited and extended Christmas wishes to Catholic dignitaries andfollowers there.-VNA

In the 2027–2030 period, the city will accelerate the transition towards the complete phase-out of fossil fuel-powered buses. The share of electric and green energy-fueled buses is projected to reach 79–89% by 2029 and 100% by 2030.

Hanoi to add 53 electric buses from April 18

According to the plan, all buses operating within Ring Road 1 will use green energy by July 1, 2026. The requirement will expand to Ring Road 2 by January 1, 2028, and to Ring Road 3 by 2030.

National, local traffic safety committees to be dissolved from June 1
