Clean water facilities presented to Central Highlands provinces

The Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) chapter in Ho Chi Minh City on April 12-15 handed over four clean water facilities to the border guard forces and residents in the border areas of the Central Highlands provinces of Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Nong and Dak Lak.

HCM City (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard and the VietnamFatherland Front (VFF) chapter in Ho Chi Minh City on April 12-15 handed overfour clean water facilities to the border guard forces and residents in theborder areas of the Central Highlands provinces of Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Nongand Dak Lak.

The facilities, including water stations, water filter systems and pipelinesystems, had a total investment of more than 2 billion VND (86,200 USD), fundedby the VFF’s Ho Chi Minh City chapter.

Beneficiaries of the gifts are the Suoi Cat border guard station in Ia Dal, IaH’ Drai in Kon Tum province; the training battalion of Gia Lai province’sborder guard; Krong Na commune in Buon Don district, Dak Lak province; and ThuanAn commune in Dak Mil district, Dak Nong province.

According to Trieu Le Khanh, Vice President of the VFF’s Ho Chi Minh Citychapter, the facilities will help ensure sufficient clean water for localproduction and daily life during dry season.

Besides, they help promote solidarity and build strong border defence posturein the Central Highlands.-VNA

People-to-people diplomacy contributes to Ho Chi Minh City’s development

Ho Chi Minh City currently has 117 licensed foreign NGOs operating in areas including healthcare, education, social protection and community development. Hanoi puts 28 more electric buses into operation

The new VinFast Green Bus vehicles, manufactured in 2026, have a capacity of 60 passengers. They are equipped with low floors for easier boarding, facilities for people with disabilities, air conditioning and other modern amenities to improve passengers’ comfort and travel experience.

500-day campaign brings fallen soldiers closer to home

Information provided by local residents in Son La province helped authorities find the remains of two fallen soldiers after four days of searching. At Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City, 701 sets of remains and 304 sets of personal items have been recovered, while in Ca Mau province, more than 3,000 unidentified graves have been excavated and biological samples collected.

Vietnam, Japan promote exchanges on law and justice

Speaking at the working session, Chief Judge of the People’s Court of Hanoi - Region 2 Hoang Ngoc Thanh said the meeting provided an opportunity for the two sides to share practical experience in judicial activities, thereby enhancing mutual understanding of the laws and practices governing the settlement of IP-related cases in Vietnam and Japan.
