Conference mulls over front work in central region

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee in conjunction with the Ha Tinh provincial People’s Committee on December 20 organised a conference on the front work in northern central provinces.

The localities include Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, QuangTri, Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai.

Participants at the event, which took place in Ha Tinh province,discussed new orientations for the front work, focusing on solutions toheighten the position and role played by the fatherland front.

They also gave opinions on a project on reforming the VFF’s operations in the future.

Hoang Khac Trung, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland FrontCentral Committee’s Thanh Hoa chapter, suggested an update on theParty’s new viewpoints on the fatherland front, especially in thepolitical platform on national construction and the revisedConstitution.

He also highlighted the mass mobilisation workto encourage ethnic people and religious followers to contribute to thegreat national unity.

A representative from Thua Thien-Hueprovince proposed the early issuance of regulations on the front’ssupervision and social criticism work.
