Buenos Aires (VNA) – Argentine media has highlighted the importance of Vietnam's victory on April 30, 1975, describing it as a symbol of global revolutionary solidarity and national resilience.

In an article titled "Vietnam: Yesterday, Today and Forever" published by the Argentine website Resumen Latinoamericano, journalist Ruben Darío Guzzetti emphasised that April 30 holds profound meaning not only for Vietnam but for humanity at large.

He described the date as the culmination of more than a century of struggle by the Vietnamese people for national independence and liberation from colonialism, neo-colonialism, and imperialism.

The article praised the leadership and organisational capabilities of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which, according to the author, played a decisive role in the nation's victory. Guzzetti noted that the Vietnamese revolution stands as an enduring source of inspiration, keeping alive the belief in a just and peaceful future.

He stressed that when people speak of Vietnam, they often associate it with values such as bravery, perseverance, unity, dignity, socialism, and revolutionary spirit.

The journalist also recalled the wave of global support for Vietnam, especially in Latin America, where during the 1960s and 1970s, numerous solidarity movements emerged in opposition to the war and in support of Vietnam’s long resistance.

Hundreds of thousands of activists and peace-loving citizens formed groups and participated in demonstrations from Rio Grande to Tierra del Fuego, voicing their support for Vietnam’s cause.

Guzzetti concluded by stating that April 30, 1975, will forever remain a landmark in international political history, celebrated by peoples around the world./.
