Da Nang (VNA) – A community digital library funded by Yongin Special City of the Republic of Korea (RoK) was inaugurated on January 13 in Quang Phu ward, Da Nang city.

The Yongin community digital library was funded through a non-refundable aid grant from Yongin and the International Lotus Village (ILV) organisation, with a total investment of over 4 billion VND (over 152,000 USD).

After more than 10 months of construction, the project has been completed and put into use, featuring all the components of a modern digital library, including over 1,000 book titles, an e-book repository, tablet and desktop computers, dedicated study areas, and spaces for digital knowledge exploration and research.

The project aims to create an open, modern, and friendly learning space that serves the reading, research, and study demands of students and the local community. It also seeks to foster reading habits, cultivate a thirst for knowledge, and promote lifelong learning within the community.

This marks Yongin's first international development cooperation project in Quang Phu ward, and the second community digital library in the southern area of Da Nang.
