Congratulations on 50th anniversary of Vietnam – Burundi diplomatic ties

Congratulations have been sent to Burundian leaders on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations (April 16, 1975–2025).

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese leaders have sent congratulatory messages to their Burundian counterparts on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations (April 16, 1975–2025).

State President Luong Cuong extended congratulations to Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh did the same to Prime Minister Gervais Ndirakobuca. Meanwhile, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man conveyed the messages to Speaker of the Senate Emmanuel Sinzohagera and Speaker of the National Assembly Gelase Ndabirabe.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son sent congratulations to Burundian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation Albert Shingiro./.

NA deputies continue to discuss amendments to Constitution on May 14

The draft resolution to amend and supplement certain articles of the 2013 Constitution comprises two main articles. Article 1 outlines eight proposed amendments and additions to existing constitutional provisions, focusing on the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and other socio-political organisations, administrative units, and the organisation of local government. Article 2 contains three clauses dealing with enforcement and transitional provisions of the amendments.
