At a reception given to Construction Minister Nguyen Hong Quan in Havana on September 24, the First Vice President warmly welcomed the Vietnamese delegation’s visit to Cuba to attend the 28 th session of the Vietnam-Cuba Inter-governmental Committee for Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation.

He highlighted the results of the session as a practical contribution to strengthening mutual understanding, solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Quan, who is head of the Vietnam-Cuba Cooperation Sub-committee, expressed the determination to cooperate and support Cuba in all fields, especially its rice cultural projects to serve the government’s food security programme.

While in Cuba, Minister Quan had working sessions with Vice President of the Cuban Council of State Ramiro Valdes, Vice President of the Cuban Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas and the Ministers of Foreign Trade and Investment, Tourism, Agriculture, Construction, and Information Science and Communication./.
