Da Nang (VNA) – The Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre Zone 2 in the central city of Da Nang in coordination with the city’s 115 emergency aid centre on December 2 brought a sick crewmember of a foreign vessel to the mainland for treatment after giving him first aid at sea.
The Chinese sailor, Wang Ziaogang, was aboard the Univorn Bravo ship travelling from Thailand to Hong Kong (China) when he suffered serious abdominal pain and needed critical emergency aid.
Receiving the ship’s request, the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre Zone 2 asked the ship to return to Da Nang, while sending rescue vessel SAR 412 and doctors to the site.
The sailor has been sent to a local hospital for treatment.-VNA
