A seminar took place in Da Nang on October 5 to boost the Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation in the central city.
Co-organised by the municipal Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association, the Da Nang University and the city’s Socio-economic Development Research Institute, the event saw participants exchange opinions and seek solutions to further develop the two countries’ relations, as well as strengthen cooperation between the city and Japan in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, education and training, and cultural exchange.
The country now counts more than 80 Japanese businesses and offices, with a total capital of almost 300 million USD. They have created stable jobs for 25,000 local workers in many fields.
The total value of assistance from nongovernmental organisations to Da Nang has reached about 20 billion VND since 2005.-VNA
