Thereligious festival is one of Vietnam’s biggest annual ritual events.It involves a varied range of cultural activities, including a prayerceremony for a year of peace, prosperity and happiness for the nation,and a folk music performance of bai choi (a card game in which playersalso sing).

A painting and photo exhibition featuring Ngu HanhSon (Marble Mountains) landscapes, a zen-tea exhibition,candle-lit flower releasing, boat-races and calligraphy performances areall included in the festivities.

The event is popular among tourists and locals, who appreciate its success in upholding national cultural values.-VNA
