The Amazara Quest, carrying450 tourists from Japan, China and Great Britain, and SeabournPride with 200 tourists from Great Britain, Germany and the USon board were the second and third cabin cruisers visiting the centralregion in the first few days of the year.

The TienSa port is expected to receive three more cruise ships carrying almost2,500 international tourists from Asia and Europe this month.

Travel agents expected a 20 percent year-on-year increase ininternational arrivals by sea in Da Nang in 2011, resulting from therallying trend of the global economy. In the first quarter alone, 23ships carrying over 10,000 tourists, mostly from traditional Europeanmarkets, are expected to cast anchor off the central port.

Most noteworthy is the comeback of luxury cruise liners such as CostaClassica, each carrying almost 2,000 passengers. Influxes of touristsfrom Japan and China are also expected to contribute to aconsiderable growth in voyages aboard Azamara Quest cruise liners.

Da Nang is expected to attract some 450,000 internationalarrivals this year to go sightseeing in tourist attractions in thecentral region such as the Hoi An ancient city, the former imperial cityof Hue and the My Son temple sanctuary./.

Da Nang ready to welcome over 456,000 visitors during Tet holiday

The central beach city of Da Nang is expected to receive over 456,000 visitors, of them more than 221,000 international, during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday (from January 25 to February 2), a year-on-year rise of 13.5%, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.
