Daily reference exchange rate unchanged on December 24
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,193 VND/USD on December 24, unchanged from the previous day.
Illustrative photo (Source: VNA)With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,888 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,497 VND/USD.
The opening-hour rates at commercial banks fluctuated variably.
At 8:20 am, BIDV listed the buying rate at 22,810 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,090 VND/USD, both down 20 VND from the rates at the same time on December 23.
Meanwhile, Vietcombank added 5 VND to both rates, listed the buying rate at 22,785 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,095 VND/USD.
During the week from December 20-24, the daily exchange rate fluctuated variably but ended the week up 9 VND./.
