Dak Lak (VNA) – Three people was killed in an explosion in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on December 12.
The blast occurred at about 20:50 on December 12 at the provincial police station’s storage keeping found explosive objects as evidence related to crime cases in Nguyen Tat Thanh street, Tu An ward in Buon Ma Thuot city.
This is an accident, not a terror attack, the Dak Lak People’s Committee told media on December 13.
Local authorities said that the incident killed three police officers and injured three others, while damaging surrounding offices and houses.
After the explosion, local police coordinated with the Fire Rescue Police and provincial Military Headquarters to carry out rescue work and give emergency aid to the victims. They are also investigating the cause of the explosion.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a message of condolences to families of the victims, while urging local authorities to promptly fix the damage caused by the blast.-VNA
