Attending the event were Ambassador John Nielsen - the CDEF’s chairman -and many young art activists in various fields from the provinces ofcentral Vietnam.
The fund has assisted many northernartists during the past years, so in the coming period, it will focusmore on creative minds in central and southern Vietnam.
Thetotal fund of the programme is up to 3 million USD and the supportedprojects are in different artistic fields such as contemporary dancing,filmmaking and writing.
CDEF is part of the Vietnam –Denmark cultural development cooperation programme, which has providedfinancial support to nearly 70 projects since 2011. Every year, 20 to25 projects receive funding on average.
The aim of thecultural exchange is to expose the two cultures to each other and tocontribute to joint inspiration, cooperation and understanding betweenartists and people of the two countries.
The fund providessupport to contemporary artists and cultural performances in Vietnamand to cultural exchange activities between Denmark and Vietnam.
All Danish and Vietnamese individuals or organisations may apply for project support.-VNA
