Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan met on October 14 Chairman ofthe China–Vietnam Friendship Association Qi Jianguo, who attended thefifth Vietnam–China People’s Forum in the northern province of Ninh Binhfrom October 11 – 13.
At the function in Hanoi ,the Deputy PM reiterated Vietnam ’s resolve to incessantlyconsolidate the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership.
He spoke highly of the contributions made by the Vietnam–China andChina–Vietnam Friendship Associations in the past time, and expressedhis hope that the two peoples will further exchange activities to boostmutual understanding and friendship for their common interest as well asregional and global peace, stability and prosperity.
For his part, Chairman Qi Jianguo noted that bilateral ties and mutualtrust have been reinforced, reflected through the meetings and an arrayof cooperation documents signed by their leaders.
He said he hopes Vietnam and China will bolster their multifacetedcooperation and exert efforts to seek measures to tackle sea disputesfor waters of peace, friendship and cooperation as well as bothcountries’ healthy and stable development.-VNA
