Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Ministry ofForeign Affairs is actively coordinating with competent domestic agencies, KhanhHoa province, and Chinese diplomatic missions in Vietnam to handle issues relating to the traffic accident in Khanh Hoa and complete necessary procedures for the deceased in accordance with the law,the ministry’s spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said on July 20.

Speaking at the ministry’s regular press conference inHanoi, Hang said the bus accident occurred at the Khanh Le Pass in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province on July 18, killing four Chinese passengers and injuring others, who are receiving treatment at the provincial general hospital, most of them not seriously injured.
According to the spokesperson, representatives from the Chinese Consulate General in Ho ChiMinh City have arrived in Khanh Hoa and coordinated with the provincial ForeignAffairs Department and competent Vietnamese agencies in settling the incident, ensuringrights and interests of the Chinese victims.

Hang informed that right after learning about the incident, PrimeMinister Pham Minh Chinh sent a dispatch to relevant ministries, agencies and Khanh Hoaprovince, ordering mobilising health workers,medicines and equipment to save the injured passengers, helping families reach the victims, conducting procedures related to the deceased, and visiting the victims’families.

On this occasion, Hang extended her deep sympathy to theChinese diplomatic mission and the bereaved families./.

Tien Giang steps up efforts to eliminate substandard houses

According to the Tien Giang People’s Committee, 485 homes for policy beneficiaries, families of war martyrs, and low-income households will be supported. Of these, 284 new homes will be built, and 201 existing ones repaired, with a total budget of 24.1 billion VND (about 984,000 USD). As of March 6, construction had started on 166 houses, with 32 already completed.
