A Vietnamese delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training led by Minister Pham Vu Luan paid an official visit to the German state of Hessen from October 29 to November 4.
During its stay, the delegation held talks with Kuehner Hoermann, Minister of Science and Arts and Nicola Beer, Secretary of State and Coordinator for “German year in Vietnam” and “Vietnamese year in Germany” programme.
The two sides spoke highly of bilateral cooperation in education and training, especially the Vietnam-Germany University (VGU) project and pledging to do their utmost to make VGU a leading university in the region and the world in the next decade.
The delegation met Axel Wintermeyer, Chief of the Cabinet Office and Dorothea Henzler, Hessen State’s Minister of Culture. They also held working sessions with the Secretary Generals of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Humboldt Foundation.
They also visited Goethe University, Darmstadt University of Technology and Vietnamese Consulate General in Frankfurt./.
