Embassy celebrates 33rd anniversary of Vietnam – Venezuela diplomatic relations hinh anh 1

Buenos Aires (VNA) – The Embassy of Vietnam in Venezuela on December 6 celebrated the 33rd anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties (December 18, 1989 – 2022).

Director General of the Department of Asia, Middle East and Oceania under the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry Pedro Rodriguez said that 33 years after establishing diplomatic relations and 15 years of comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Venezuela, their bilateral relations are constantly developing. 

The two countries have promoted cooperation in such fields as politics, economy, culture, society, education and training.

Ambassador Le Viet Duyen reviewed milestones and achievements in the two countries’ bilateral relations.

The two sides regularly exchange high-level delegations, particularly the visit to Vietnam in 2022 by the Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of Asia, Middle East and Oceania Capaya Rodriguez.

The two countries have signed more than 50 cooperation agreements in fields as well as implemented cooperation mechanisms and bilateral cooperation projects, particularly those in agriculture and aquaculture. 

In the first 10 months of this year, their two-way trade turnover increased by seven folds over the same period of 2021, topping 50 million USD.

Also on this occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy held a photo exhibition on Vietnam-Venezuela relations and Vietnamese culture, country and people./.
