Embassy works to deepen Vietnam-Indonesia strategic partnership

Jakarta (VNA) – Party GeneralSecretary Nguyen Phu Trong expected the Embassy of Vietnam in Indonesia to makemore contributions to developing the two countries’ traditional amity andstrategic partnership during a meeting in Jakarta on August 22.

Indonesia is a big country in the SoutheastAsian region and one of the founders of the Association of Southeast AsianNations (ASEAN). It is also a member of the 20 major economies (G20) and playsa crucial role in the region and around the world, he noted.

The enhancement of cooperation with Indonesia,hence, is of significance for mutual benefits, contributing to the maintenanceof regional and global peace, stability and cooperation, he added.

He unveiled that during his visit to Indonesia,the two sides will focus on discussing specific measures to enhance theirrapports and create a more pragmatic change in the development of bilateralcooperative relations.-VNA

Vietnam, Indonesia seek deeper collaboration
