Ha Nam (VNA) - The "Empower Youth for Future Success in Ha Nam Province" programme plays a vital role in equipping the younger generation in Ha Nam province with essential skills to integrate and succeed in the modern labor market, while also contributing to the development of high-quality local human resources.

The "Empower Youth for Future Success in Ha Nam Province" programme is designed to equip these young people with a comprehensive set of skills, including social, financial, employability, and entrepreneurship skills. In addition, essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving will be emphasized. Together, these skills are crucial for building the confidence of young individuals as they enter the job market or pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

Supported by the PepsiCo Foundation, the programme will be implemented over a 12-month period and will feature a variety of practical activities. An intensive training of 40 lecturers from vocational schools across Ha Nam province will be a major component of the project, with the curriculum aligned to international standards. Once trained, these lecturers will deliver the course to 1,000 students and 200 young people at vocational training centers to reach the maximum number of beneficiaries. The courses will be learner-centered, applying modern teaching methods and diverse tools to maximize learning outcomes.

The project will not only foster employable skills for these young people, but will provide an opportunity for exposure to the business world. Upon completing the training, students and young people will have the opportunity to engage with local businesses at a large-scale job fair and participate in a “Start-Up Competition” to explore innovative ideas and projects. These opportunities will give participants the chance to network, participate in on-site training and workshops, and be directly recruited — significantly improving their employment prospects.

The Programme Launch Ceremony on March 21, 2025, provided an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss and align on implementation plans and commit to supporting Ha Nam's young generation in developing essential skills and improving career opportunities.

Tran Xuan Duong, Vice Chairman of the Ha Nam provincial People's Committee, stated: "PepsiCo Foods Vietnam has made significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Ha Nam province. Their investments include a new food factory valued at nearly USD 90 million, the expansion of high-tech potato cultivation areas to reduce emissions, and various initiatives to support human resource development. We appreciate and fully support PepsiCo's efforts to create job opportunities and enhance the quality of the local workforce, especially for our youth."

We firmly believe that investing in young talent, especially through skills training programs, will establish a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the entire community."

Vo Duy Luu, Director of the PepsiCo Foods Vietnam Factory in Ha Nam, shared: "Developing high-quality human resources is always a top priority for PepsiCo Foods Vietnam. We are proud to have earned the top position in the Best Workplace Award in Vietnam for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024, in the Business Sector. This prestigious and transparent annual award is sponsored by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). With our factory in Ha Nam, we aim not only to create more job opportunities for local workers but also to play a key role in enhancing their skills. This program will equip young people with essential skills, meet real-world recruitment demands, and contribute to building a professional workforce aligned with Ha Nam province's sustainable development goals."

As a key partner in implementing the program in Ha Nam province, To Kim Lien, Director of Center for Education and Development (CED), shared: "This program not only equips young people with the essential knowledge and skills they need but also serves as an effective bridge between employers and skilled youth. Through this initiative, young people will gain valuable workplace skills and even have the opportunity to start their own businesses after graduation."

The “Empower Youth for Future Success in Ha Nam Province” programme is expected to generate positive impacts by contributing to the development of high-quality human resources and driving economic growth in Ha Nam province. With strong collaboration among all stakeholders, the programme serves not only as a valuable learning opportunity but also as a solid platform to help Ha Nam’s young generation confidently enter the labor market and pursue successful entrepreneurial ventures./.
