Estonia wants to strengthen and develop its friendship and cooperation with Vietnam , especially in the economy, IT, culture, tourism and education, said President Toomas Hendrik Ilves.

President Ilves was speaking to the newly-appointed VietnameseAmbassador to Estonia , Doan Ngoc Boi, following the presentation ofhis credentials on August 25.

The Estonian leaderapplauded Boi’s opinions on measures to promote bilateral relations,including the increased exchange of visits at all levels, rapidlybuilding a legal framework to facilitate economic cooperation andstepping up coordination at regional and international forums.

Boi promised to work closely with concerned agencies of both nationsto advance the Vietnam-Estonia relationship, particularly in the fieldsof economy, trade, culture, education and IT./.
