An exhibition featuring well-known Vietnamese generals such as Vo Nguyen Giap and Nguyen Chi Thanh was opened in Hanoi on December 29.

Former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu and former President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Pham The Duyet cut the ribbon to kick off the event, which will run until January 5 at 45 Trang Tien Street .

Secretary General of the Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences Duong Trung Quoc said the exhibition is part of the “Vietnam Legend” project carried out by the Hoi Quan Di San (Heritage Inns) to promote the nation’s historical values and patriotism.

The “Truong ca” (Epic) painting by artist Nguyen Doan Son describes the revolutionary path of Vietnam , while the portray of late General Nguyen Chi Thanh was made of over 100,000 matches by Ngo Thi Thuc.

Many lacquer paintings and photo documentaries on the activities of high-ranking officials of the Party and State are also put on show.-VNA
