Exhibition highlights Vietnam-UK relations

Nearly 100 photos reflecting the establishment and development of diplomatic ties and friendship between Vietnam and the United Kingdom are being showcased at an exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City from October 4-12.
Nearly 100 photos reflecting the establishment and development ofdiplomatic ties and friendship between Vietnam and the United Kingdomare being showcased at an exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City from October4-12.

Organised by the UK Embassy in Vietnam and the VietnamNews Agency (VNA), the event is part of activities to mark the 40 thanniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Themed“Vietnam-UK relations: from the past to the future”, the exhibition isto promote the mutual understanding and trust between Vietnamese andBritish people, strengthening their friendship, solidarity and bilateralcooperation.

The UK Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City DouglasBarners said the photos captured important events in the Vietnam-UKrelationship over the past 40 years, which fuel new developments in thefuture bilateral ties.

Many photos taken by the VNA’sLondon-based correspondents have reflected bilateral cooperation in awide range of politics, economy, culture, education, science andtechnology.

It also reflects the UK today through lens of four photographers of different generations of the Vietnam News Agency.

The exhibition wil l run until October 12./.

Vietnamese community in Thailand honours cultural, traditional values

Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh reiterated the Party and State’s constant policy of considering the Vietnamese community abroad as an inseparable part and an important resource of the nation. 2025 Vietnam Culture Festival held in Osaka

Visitors enjoy Thai environment, lifestyle at Hanoi festival

At the Thai Festival, from March 28 night to March 30 morning in Hanoi, visitors explored typical Thai dishes, along with health care and beauty care products and traditional handicrafts. They also enjoyed traditional dances from many regions of Thailand, tried making Khanom Krok coconut cakes and painting patterns on silk, among other activities.

Book week in Hanoi invites children to the wonderland of British tales

Vu Thi Quynh Lien, Deputy Director of Kim Dong Publishing House, said: “The UK Children's Picture Book Week brings a fresh and creative reading space, helping young children access famous picture book works. Through this, they not only explore but also develop a love for reading from an early age.”
