New Delhi (VNA) – The Embassy of Vietnam in India joined hands with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry of India (ICMEI) to arrange an exhibition featuring paintings by Vietnamese artists that opened in New Delhi on November 21.

On display are works by seven painters including Le Anh Van, Tran Tuyet Mai and Hoang Duc Dung who have actively promoted Vietnam’s contemporary arts to international friends.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau said the exhibition is part of Vietnam Month which aims to celebrate the three years of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India.

Over the last three years, in addition to outstanding results in the fields of politics-diplomacy, security-national defence, trade-investment and science-technology-education, the countries have teamed up to arrange various cultural exchanges, the diplomat noted.

This is third exhibition of Vietnamese painting held in that time, offering Indian friends a chance to gain an understanding of Vietnam’s contemporary arts, he added./.
