Families supported to bring remains of victims in Las Vegas stab home

The Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco, the United States, is supporting families of two Vietnamese tourists fatally stabbed in a Las Vegas hotel to go to the US and bring the victims’ remain and ashes home, according to spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang.

Hanoi (VNA) –The Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco, the United States, issupporting families of two Vietnamese tourists fatally stabbed in a Las Vegashotel to go to the US and bring the victims’ remain and ashes home, accordingto spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang.

The Consulate Generalof Vietnam in San Francisco is working with the Ho Chi Minh City Department ofExternal Relations and relevant agencies to support the families of the victimsin obtaining necessary documents to travel to the US and to coordinate with theauthorized funeral service provider to return the victims’ remains and ashes toVietnam.

The Ministry ofForeign Affairs asked the Embassy of Vietnam in the US and the ConsulateGeneral of Vietnam in San Francisco to closely work with the US’s competentauthorities to investigate the tragic murder and ensure the legitimate rights andinterest of Vietnamese citizens.

Two Vietnamesetourists, Nghia Boi Sang, a 39-year-old woman and Nguyen Le Ba Khuong, a30-year-old man, were stabbed to death in their room at the Circus Circus Hotelon the Las Vegas Strip on early June 2 morning.

These persons were part of a tour group of Trieu HaoTourism Company. Sang is the company director and Khuong is an employee of thecompany.

In a press release issued by the Las Vegas PoliceDepartment on June 2, a spokesman said officers were called to the hotel wherethey found the bodies of a man and a woman.

Julius Trotter, 31, was taken into custody on June 7 for allegedlykilling the Vietnamese people during an apparent burglary.- VNA
