The Ethics Committee under the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) on October 12 suspended Worawi Makudi, President of the Football Association of Thailand and former member of the FIFA Executive Committee.
According to a FIFA statement, Makudi will be discharged from all football activities at the national and international levels for 90 days and t he ban is effective immediately.
Makudi, 64, was a FIFA executive committee member for 18 years until May.
In July, he was found guilty of forgery in his re-election as head of the Football Association of Thailand. A Bangkok court sentenced him to probation of one year and four months.
On October 8, FIFA also suspended its President, Sepp Blatter; President of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Michel Platini; and FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke for 90 days.-VNA .
