Overseas Vietnamese in Ukraine and international friends will have an opportunity to better understand Vietnam’s traditional culture and its process of development and integration through a week-long film and photo exhibition, which will begin in Kharkov city on August 30.

The upcoming event will be jointly held by the Ministry of Information and Communications’ Centre for Press and International Communications Cooperation, the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine, and the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Kharkov.

It aims to mark the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2), and the 21 st anniversary of Vietnam-Ukraine diplomatic ties.

More than 200 selected photos and 100 documentary films will be shown at the festival, featuring Vietnam’s National Assembly-Government, Vietnam in its path of integration and development as well as the country’s world cultural heritages, traditional craft villages, festivals, cuisine and landscapes.

The week looks to introduce the image of Vietnam to the world and help further intensify the comprehensive cooperative partnership between Vietnam and Ukraine.

Following Kharkov, the event will tour other localities in Ukraine.-VNA
