Hanoi (VNA) – Ford Vietnam has announced record sales for the second consecutive month in November as it sold 4,506 vehicles, marking a month-on-month increase of 12% and a year-on-year rise of 42%.
Truong Kim Phong, Deputy General Director of Ford Vietnam, said that Ford Vietnam achieved the best-ever monthly sales and its four key vehicle lines have led their respective segments for two consecutive months.
Ranger, Everest, Explorer and Transit models took the lead in the sales of their respective segments. Following the strong growth last month, it’s promising for Ford Vietnam to make a breakthrough in the shopping season at the end of this year.
In the pickup segment, Ranger continued to affirm its leading position in the last 10 years with 1,995 vehicles sold in November, accounting for more than 60% of the market share of the segment.
In addition, Ford has also competed strongly in the SUV segment, which has seen the participation of many major competitors in the market. With 1,105 vehicles delivered to customers in November, the sales of midsize SUV Everest increased by nearly 40% from the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the Explorer model also led the large SUV segment for two consecutive months as 62 vehicles were sold in November, marking an increase of nearly 35% compared to the previous month. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 712 Explorer units have been delivered to customers.
Ford Transit also continued to lead in the 16-seat commercial vehicle segment with 308 vehicles delivered to customers, up 9% from the previous month.
The total number of Transit units sold from the beginning of this year showed a year-on-year increase of 192%, which indicated a recovery in travel and long-distance transportation after the COVID-19 pandemic.
New-generation Ford Territory, the latest of the C-SUV segment, which manufactured at the company's Hai Duong factory, also recorded positive sales with 1,036 vehicles sold, receiving good signals from the domestic market./.
