Can Tho (VNA) – Foreign military attachés working in Vietnam have had a chance to tour the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City and central Khanh Hoa province as part of a plan from the Defence Ministry’s Department for External Affairs.
In Can Tho, the delegation visited the chief of the High Command of Military Region 9 and the Military Command, Quan Doi Nhan Dan newspaper reported.
In Khanh Hoa’s Nha Trang city, they talked with rector of the Telecommunications University major general Nguyen Hoang Tuyen and director of the Cam Ranh International Port Colonel Uong Xuan Phuc Son.
The delegation also visited several tourist attractions and historic relic sites in Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang.
Colonel Mpiwa Kgotso Abiel, South African military attaché, thanked the Defence Ministry for organising the trip, saying that it helped strengthen relations and improve understanding and trust between foreign military attachés and the Vietnamese army and people.
He expressed his hope for more visits and working sessions with the Vietnam People’s Army in the future.-VNA
