The portal aims to provide Vietnamese citizens, foreigners and legalentities with information on consular affairs and consular publicadministrative services. The site carries a database of Vietnam andlegal documents, as well as agreements relating to consular affairsbetween Vietnam and other countries.
By using the portal, people can visit the online consular procedurescolumn to find out about travelling overseas, visa’s to other countriesand solutions for people who encounter problems whilst living abroad.
The portal also has news and discussion forums, creating a link betweenthe public and the Foreign Ministry’s Consular Department.
On addressing the ceremony, Deputy PM Khiem confirmed that the portalwas part of the ministry’s plan to simplify administrative proceduresand protect the rights and legal benefits of Vietnamese citizens andlegal entities living abroad, with the motto “Active, in-time andeffective”./.
