Hanoi (VNA) – FPT Corporation on June 21 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Greenwich which has a history of more than 130 years in the UK as a top university. Its London campus was ranked as the best for international students in 2023.
Under the MoU, the two sides will jointly research and coordinate to carry out activities including cooperation in scientific research, human resources supply, international exchange and exchange in countries where FPT and the University of Greenwich are present.
The University of Greenwich will cooperate in applied research with FPT in many technology fields such as AI, Blockchain, business ecosystem, supply chain management and urban connectivity.
Regarding human resources supply cooperation, FPT will accept internships and prioritise recruiting the University’s graduates in Vietnam and all countries where FPT has offices and branches.
The signing of the MoU is expected to create opportunities for many University of Greenwich graduates from around the world to enter the global job market of FPT.
In addition, the two sides will consider broader cooperation in organising exchange programmes for students and staff of Greenwich and FPT globally.

Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Corporation said the corporation and the University of Greenwich share a common vision in the sustainable development strategy.
With the target of having one million digital transformation personnel by 2035, FPT desperately needs high-quality human resources from leading universities in Vietnam and around the world. To this end, FPT wishes to cooperate with prestigious and long-standing quality universities of which the University of Greenwich is a typical example, he said.
Talking about this cooperation, Jane Harrington, Vice Chancellor of the University of Greenwich, said that in its strategy for 2030, the university has set forth three core priorities, namely the success of students, scientific research, cooperation and knowledge exchange.
According to her, student success is an important foundation for long-term sustainability and the goal of building a better society.
They aim to provide a comprehensive educational experience that combines practice-based learning, enhanced technology, and tailored work opportunities for students, she said, adding that by strengthening cooperation with major global partners, including FPT Corporation, they will fulfill all these goals.

The cooperation between FPT Corporation and the University of Greenwich marks the development and cooperation in supplying high-quality human resources globally as the former is present in 29 countries, while the latter is having partners in 20 countries around the world.
The university has cooperated with the corporation in terms of training since 2009. Thousands of students have been trained by the university over the past 15 years.
Many Greenwich alumni hold important positions at FPT's member companies or are actively contributing to the expansion of the corporation.
According to Nguyen Phuong Hoang, who was a senior manager at FPT's member companies, what he appreciates most during nearly 20 years of working for the corporation is that it offers opportunities for them to develop.
FPT's rapid development creates an opportunity for everyone, including those who have ambitions and abilities to express themselves and there seems to be no barriers to their creativity, said Hoang, who is currently Deputy General Director of the Sen Do Technology Joint Stock Company./.
