Francophone Day marked in Mozambique

As part of culturalexchange week among French-speaking nations, the event was organised bythe Mozambican Ministry of Education and Human Development and embassiesof the OIF’s member nations in the country.

Speaking at theceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Nguyen Van Trung highlighted theFrancophone community’s efforts to protect language and culturaldiversity and its contributions to addressing global challenges likediseases, natural disasters and environmental pollution.

JoneLuis, Minister of Education and Human Development, praised effective anddynamic operations of and cooperation among embassies to enhancecultural promotion of the OIF’s member nations.

The VietnameseEmbassy has arranged a photo exhibition to introduce the culture,country and people of Vietnam as part of cultural activities to mark 40years of the Vietnam-Mozambique diplomatic ties.

Initiated in 1970, the OIF includes 57 member countries and 23 observers.-VNA
