Sen. Lt. Gen. Do Ba Ty, chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defence, received French Navy Admiral Eduoard Guillaud, chief of Defence Staff who is currently on a three-day visit to Vietnam, on Feb. 21.
The two sides exchange information about their respective countries and issues of mutual concern to boost friendship and understanding between the armies and people of the two countries.
They also reached an agreement on visit and work exchanges by military delegations from both countries, improving cooperation in training and military equipment. Their agreement also mentioned maintaining the annual meeting of the Vietnam-France Joint Committee on National Defence Cooperation and contributing to the celebrations of the 40 th year of relations between the two countries.
Admiral Guillaud also gave a salute to Minister of National Defence Phung Quang Thanh. - VNA
