Officials from the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee held a get-together in Hanoi on August 27 for prominent overseas Vietnamese who visited the homeland for the National Day celebrations.
The expats thanked the Party, State, VFF, and State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs for enabling them to return and attend the 70th anniversary of August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
They said they always give their hearts to the homeland and will work to contribute to the country’s construction and development.
They took the occasion to ask for further support in the teaching of Vietnamese language for their offspring and in doing business in the country.
Vice President of the VFF Central Committee Nguyen Van Pha reiterated that the overseas Vietnamese community is an integral part and a resource of the nation, playing a constructive role in fostering Vietnam’s friendship and cooperation with other countries.-VNA
