Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Association organized afriendship exchange on June 19 to mark the 75th Independence Day ofBelarus and the 75 years of Belarus’s liberation.

President of the Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Association Nguyen Thai Lai saidVietnam and Belarus have had sound relations, evidenced by visits made at alllevels along with economic, cultural and trade exchanges, and signedagreements.

He asserted that Vietnamese people always remember Belarus’s assistance duringtheir years of difficulties and that his association will work as a bridge forthe cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

Attending the event, Ambassador of Belarus to Vietnam Vladimir Goshin said 2019marks important events in the two countries’ ties, especially culturalexchanges held by the Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Association.

Participants at the event were treated with performances by the famous Belarusiandancing group “Rovesnik”, which comes at the invitation of the Embassy ofBelarus in Vietnam.-VNA
