Germany helps preserve VN’s cultural heritages

Germany will provide an additional 135,000 USD for implementing cultural heritage preservation projects in Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Germany will provide an additional 135,000 USD for implementing cultural heritage preservation projects in Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Accordingly, the fourth phase of a project to restore the Tran Dang communal house in Hoa Son commune, Hanoi ’s Ung Hoa district, and the restoration of Truong Linh Tu, a temple in the citadel of the Hue Ancient Capital, will be carried out between 2011 and 2012.

The projects will be implemented by a group of experts of the Germany Conservation, Restoration and Education Project (GCREP) from Postdam city.

Germany has so far provided a total funding of 1.65 million USD for cultural heritage conservation projects in Vietnam . To date, the German-funded projects to restore pictures on walls and ceilings in the An Dinh Palace as well as preserve and restore walls and partitions in Tu Duc Tomb in the Hue ancient capital have been completed./.
