Gia Lai (VNA) – The authorities of Gia Lai province helda ceremony at the martyrs cemetery of Duc Co border district on May 18 torebury the remains of 16 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laiddown their lives in Cambodia.

In October 2019, the Central Highlands province launched a search for andrepatriation of remains of Vietnamesevolunteer soldiers and experts in Cambodia for the 2019 – 2020 dry season.

During the 20th campaign, from October 22, 2019 to April 3,2020, the search and repatriation team K52 of the provincial Military Commandfound and repatriated the remains of 16 martyrs from three northeasternprovinces of Cambodia namely Ratanakiri, Stung Treng and Preah Vihear.

Since its search and repatriation effortsbegan in 2001, Gia Lai has brought home remains of 1,428 martyrs from Cambodia./.

Ho Chi Minh City steps up law enforcement on fishing vessel monitoring system

Ho Chi Minh City has 4,449 fishing vessels, of them 4,301 equipped with VMS devices, making up 96.67%. Between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2025, authorities found 1,729 cases of vessels losing VMS connection for six hours or more, issuing fines in 196 cases totalling nearly 6.6 billion VND (about 252,000 USD)
