Disadvantaged high-school students will be supported with their food and accommodation expenses, the Prime Minister has decided.

Ethnic minority students who are studying in state-run high schools and permanently residing in areas with poor economic conditions will be offered an amount that is equal to 40 percent of the minimum salary per month for a nine-month academic year.

Ten percent of the minimum salary level will be paid for those who have to pay their accommodation.

The decision will come into force on March 15.-VNA
