Greetings continue to flow in on Vietnam's National Day

Leaders of many countries have extended their greetings to Party, State leaders and people of Vietnam on the 79th anniversary of the National Day (September 2, 1945-2024).

Hanoi (VNA) - Leaders of many countries have extended their greetings to Party, State leaders and people of Vietnam on the 79th anniversary of the National Day (September 2, 1945-2024).

In his greetings to Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Brunei's Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah affirmed that his country attaches great importance to the long-standing friendly relations with Vietnam, and wishes that on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of bilateral comprehensive partnership, the two sides will continue to reinforce cooperation in the areas of trade, energy, and people-to-peopl exchange, and join hands to promote the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and New Vision 2045 for the common goal of peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

Cabling greetings to Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, Indonesian President Joko Widodo expressed his belief that the Indonesia-Vietnam relations will be further promoted to a new height.

Malaysian King Malaysia Al-Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and the Malaysia Queen sent a letter of greetings to Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, while Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives Johari Bin Abdul extended his greetings to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man. The Malaysian leaders expressed their delight at the growing and expanding Vietnam-Malaysia strategic partnership in many areas, which reflects the close relationship over the past 50 years between the leaders and people of the two countries. They said they believe that the bilateral cooperation will bring about more substantive results, benefiting the people of the two countries and for peace, cooperation, and development of the region.

In his greetings to Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, President of the Philippines Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. praised the Vietnamese people's will and steadfast determination on the path to regain independence and freedom, and expressed his belief that the strong development of the Vietnamese economy will contribute to peace and stability in the ASEAN region. The Philippine leader affirmed the desire to continue to deepen the strategic partnership with Vietnam for peace, cooperation, and development, and for the benefit of the people of the two countries.

Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn extended greetings to Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, while Thai Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai also sent greetings to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The Thai leaders expressed their delight at the comprehensive development of cooperation between the two countries, especially in trade, investment, tourism, and infrastructure, and affirmed that Thailand always attaches importance to the friendly and close relationship with Vietnam and hopes that the two countries will continue to seize new opportunities to promote collaboration for the common interests of the two countries, and for a prosperous future of the two peoples.

In his greetings, President of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Yoon Suk Yeol noted that after more than 30 years of diplomatic relations, Vietnam and the RoK have built a close cooperative relationship based on the foundation of friendship and solid trust. He said he hopes that the two countries will continue to expand and deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership in all fields in the coming time.

Meanwhile, President of the US Joe Biden stated in his greeting message to Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and the Vietnamese people that Vietnam and the US have made great progress in building a comprehensive strategic partnership, thereby contributing to peace, stability, and development in the region. He reaffirmed the US's support for a strong, independent, prosperous, and self-reliant Vietnam, and expressed his desire to further strengthen the relationship between the Governments and peoples of the two countries.

Greetings also came from Japanese King Naruhito and Australian Governor-General Samantha Mostyn.

On this special occasion, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Erywan Pehin Yusof and Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Hasan also sent their greetings to Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son./.
