Group of 4,500 Indian visitors to travel to Vietnam

An Indian pharmaceutical billionaire will take 4,500 employees to Vietnam for a two-week tour starting later this month to visit Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Ha Long Bay in the northern region.

The group of Indian tourists will explore most of Hanoi's famous tourist attractions before traveling to Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay.

Local departments of tourism coordinated with relevant units to inspect and make detailed plans to improve the reception, traffic flow, and arrangement of means of transport for the tourists.

Vietnam has emerged as a favored destination for Indian tourists. According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the country received 392,000 Indian visitors last year, an increase of 230% compared to 2019, the year before the onset of the Covid pandemic.

In the first six months of this year alone, Vietnam welcomed more than 231,000 Indian visitors, a more than 160% increase over the same period last year./.
