Of the figure, there were over 1.2 milliontourists staying overnight, up 12.7 percent against the same period last year.
Tourism revenue in the period rose to 1.49trillion VND (64.17 million USD), increasing by 10.6 percent year-on-year.
Hai Duong is set to fulfil the target ofgreeting 4.2 million tourists this year. In Q3 alone, about 1.1 million holidaymakers travelled to the province.
The province is now home to over 160accommodation establishments, with about 4,650 rooms.
During 2010 – 2014, the number of touriststo Hai Duong just surpassed 2 million on an average annual basis. The figureincreased to 3.12 million in 2015 and 3.95 million in 2018.
In the first half of 2019, about 2.18million holiday makers chose the province for their vacations, up 17.4 percenton year./.
