Hai Phong among top 10 attractive investment destinations

Hai Phong  (VNA) – The northern port city of HaiPhong has been named among top 10 attractive investment destinations nationwide,said Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Le Van Thanh.

As of June 30, Hai Phong recorded 24 new projects and 20others registering additional capital worth a total of 617 million USD, 585million USD of which was foreign direct investment (FDI).

Domestic firms have also poured much into the city, notablyVingroup, Sungroup, Xuan Truong, Him Lam, and FLC which embarked on urbandevelopment, tourism, agriculture, health care and education.

There were 501 foreign-invested projects with a totalregistered capital of 14.03 billion USD.

Thanh attributed the success to infrastructure improvement,including construction of Tan Vu – Lach Huyen bridge, Bach Dang bridge,expansion of National Highway 10, and key transport routes which will beinaugurated in late 2017 and early 2018.

In the first half, the city began the construction of HoangVan Thu bridge, Nguyen Binh Khiem overpass, Tam Bac, Han and Dang bridges, and severalcoastal roads.-VNA
