The Hai Phong City People’s Court will open two first instance trials of
11 people involved in coercive land reclamation in Vinh Quang commune,
Tien Lang district, this month.

11 people involved in coercive land reclamation in Vinh Quang commune,
Tien Lang district, this month.
According to the court, in the first trial, slated for April 2-5, six people will be tried for the charges of murder and resisting on-duty officers.
The second trial, which will take place on April 8-10, will judge the five others for the charges of destroying citizen’s property and irresponsibility causing serious consequences.
There will be a total of 20 lawyers defending the accused and victims in the two trials.
The defendants got involved in violations of land law. The land seizure took place on January 5, 2012. -VNA
