– The People’s Committee of Hai Phong city signed a deal with thenational flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on March 20 to introduce the people andland of the northern port city abroad.

Under the agreement, VietnamAirlines will support the city in implementing its foreign affairs and tourismpromotion plans this year. Hai Phong will join Vietnam Airlines in thecarrier’s promotional booths at international tourism fairs in the Republic ofKorea, France and the United Kingdom.

The airline willinvite tour operators from Europe and Northeast Asian countries to visit andlearn about Hai Phong and its tourism potential and promote the city’s image inall its marketing channels.

On the other hand, HaiPhong will help the airline to develop its business in the city and promoteservices to local residents.

Last month, VietnamAirlines also concluded an agreement with the People’s Committee of Hanoi tohelp the city promote its tourism.-VNA

HCM City to use municipal budget for Metro Line No. 2 project

The Metro Line No. 2 project has an estimated investment of nearly 47.9 trillion VND (2 billion USD) and has nearly completed land clearance, at 99.8%. The NA’s Resolution 188 authorises HCM City to develop seven metro lines spanning 355 kilometres over the next decade, with preliminary total investment for the 2025-2035 phase estimated at 40.2 billion USD.
