A hair show on July 31, by Vietnam Davines Group and Dep Magazine, will focus on Vietnamese preference for long and shining hair, show organisers said.
Only Vietnamese hair stylists would participate at the show, instead of foreign stylists as was the case in the past, said Davines Vietnam general director Nguyen Anh Tu, “because they know their country's culture and people."
However, show director Le Vu Long said: "For me, rules are made to be broken. The whole performance will be fully attuned to Vietnamese people, based on the minimalist concept."
Hair stylist Justin Manh, who styled for the Sao Mai singing contest 2008, said it was an honour to be invited to take part in the show, and he would create a new style to suit the Vietnamese.
The show will be held at Giang Vo Exhibition and Trade Fair, in Hanoi./.
