Hanoi to host conference on DaO initiative

A high-ranking international conference on the United Nations (UN) Delivering as One (DaO) initiative will take place in the capital city of Hanoi from June 14-16, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Prime Minister NguyenTan Dung has assigned the Ministry of Investment and Planning (MPI) to work withthe ministries of foreign affairs, public security, and finance, the Hanoimunicipal People’s Committee, the UN and other relevant agencies to makepreparations for the world event, said sources from the Office.

The UNlaunched the “Delivering as One” pilot initiative in 2007 to respond to thechallenges of a changing world and test how the UN family can providedevelopment assistance in a more coordinated way in eight countries./.

Vietnam, China sign 32 cooperation documents

The documents include a cooperation plan between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the 2026–2030 period; a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Organisation Commission of the CPV Central Committee and its Chinese counterpart; and a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.
