The Giong Festival, also known as the Festival of Phu Dong Village (Gia Lam District, Hanoi), is one of the largest traditional festivals in the Red River Delta region. It was recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010. The festival re-enacts two legendary battles fought by Saint Giong, as well as the ceremonial procession, drawing thousands of locals and visitors each year.
