More than 100 Vietnamese businesses have registered to take part in the 2014 Ho Chi Minh City Expo, to be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from May 7-11.

The businesses, including Vietnamese renowned names from the city and its neighbouring localities and those operating effectively in Cambodia, will showcase their outstanding products at about 200 booths at the trade-tourism-services fair.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre Pho Nam Phuong said on April 11 that during the event, the centre will coordinate with the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association to organise a seminar in order to provide businesses with Cambodia’s new policies on trade and investment, thus helping the two countries’ businesses seek cooperation opportunities.

According to businesses, with an advantage of the two countries’ geographical location and the rising quality of products, Vietnamese enterprises have many opportunities to expand their presence in the neighbouring country.-VNA
