Ho Chi Minh City fosters cooperation with China’s Shanghai

He said he believes that the visit will help consolidate and develop the traditional friendship and comprehensive collaboration between the two nations and between Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City and other Vietnamese localities.
The guest stated that Shanghai and HCM City have set up a twin ties for 20 years. He expressed his hope that the city’s leaders will work to lift the two cities’ relations to a new height.
Both host and guest then witnessed the signing of several documents, including an agreement on strengthening friendship and cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two Departments of External Affairs, and an MoU on educational cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Education and Training and Shanghai’s Educational Committee.-VNA
